Sometimes, we get frustrated when snow trails aren’t groomed to perfection and that’s why I wrote the Ten Clues Your Club is Probably Under Grooming. Next time you hit a patch of moguls on your snowmobile tours, see if you can come up with any more!

The Number 10 clue your club is probably under grooming…

When search & rescue has to rescue you from the moguls.

Clue Number 9…

You know your club is probably under grooming when stunt riders start using its moguls as free style jumps.

Clue Number 8…

Under grooming is likely when MNR complains that your club’s moguls are so big they are disrupting wildlife migration patterns.

The Number 7 clue your club is probably under grooming…

When its moguls have steeper slopes than the local ski hill.

Clue Number 6…

You know your club is probably under grooming when taller posts are needed so you can still see the trail signs from the depths of the valleys between moguls.

Under GroomingClue Number 5…

When under grooming, it’s cheaper to build bridges from mogul to mogul than to try to smooth them out.

The Number 4 clue your club is probably under grooming…

When you are happy to be stopped frequently by multiple police checkpoints to get a rest from more mogul bashing.

Clue Number 3…

You know your club is probably under grooming when its groomer operators have to pre-groom the moguls with dynamite.

Clue Number 2…

Under grooming is likely when you want to change the club motto to “Moguls R Us”.

And the Number 1 clue to know for sure that your club is under grooming…

When its trails start attracting more mountain sleds than trail sleds!
